This article reflects upon the relationships between memory and oblivion in the representation of the world of the Los Asesinados del Seguro Obrero by Carlos Droguett. From the tension between memory and oblivion, it is possible to visualize the way the phenomenon of violence is expressed and the connections between it and the different tragic events in the history of Chile. The opposition of memory/oblivion operates as a guideline for interpreting for the ready of the totality of the author’s narrative production.
