Delia Domínguez: from anxiety to hope
Abstract
The poetical work of Delia Domínguez can be approached from different points of view. The current article studies the ephemeral and mortal human condition. With this in mind, it analizes two semantic matrixces: first, to be born to a life that from the beginning is figured as to be born to die, and, second, the intent to exorcize this fate hoping for a peculiar kind of resurrection. In sum, the Christian existentialism of the poetic voice is analized as pointing not to nothingness but to the lunacy of faith.
