Time and poetry in Jorge Teillier's "Historia de un hijo pródigo"

Abstract

In this article I interpret the nostalgia that informs Teiller's poetry based on three time-related dimensions (time for evoking, real past time, and mythical time) that give meaning to his poetry. In this analysis I consider some of his articles, essays and poems and focus on the reading of "Historia de un hijo pródigo" (Story of a Prodigal Son).
